How do I create or modify meta tags?

When you publish your site with Site Solution, we'll create meta tags for you!

You can also easily customize the meta tags and title for each of your pages.

  1. Click the Page Settings link in your Site Solution toolbar (in the upper-right corner of your screen).

Targeted keywords can sometimes influence your search engine rankings, so take some time to develop the keywords that are right for your site. Enter your keywords in order of importance, and be sure to use keywords that actually appear in your page content.

Your description tag summarizes your page's content. Some search engines use this description to help categorize your page, and a few even display it in search results! With that in mind, make sure your description is both readable and interesting, and also features one or two of your keywords.

Title
The title tag for each of your pages includes your business name and the page title.

You can modify your business name anytime in the Contact Information dialog. Learn how.

You'll choose a title for your page when you add it to your site. The title will appear in the body of the page if you choose a layout that includes a title; the page title will also appear at the top of the web browser screen when that page is viewed, and in a visitor's bookmarks menu, if he decides to bookmark your site.

Your initial page title will be the same as the name of the page (which appears in both the page's web address and in your site menu), but you can change it anytime. Learn how to change your page title. If your page doesn't have a title, we'll use the name of the page (the name that appears in your site menu) instead.
