How do I change my page layout?

The body of each of your site pages is divided into three main content areas. A layout determines the organization of those areas on a particular page. A layout also specifies whether a page will include a page title (your site title, site menu, and footer appear on every page of your site).

You can change the layout of any page whenever you like — and each page can have a different layout.

(To change the overall look of your site, try a new site design.)

To change your page's layout:

  1. Click the Change Layout button in the Site Solution toolbar.

  2. Your current layout will appear selected in the collection of layouts suitable for your site design. Click the arrow at either end of the collection to browse additional layouts (if available).

  3. Click any layout to choose that layout for your page.

(Close the layout collection by clicking on your page or the Change Layout button.)

Be sure to publish your site to make your change available to the world! Just click the Publish button when you're ready.

Hint: Remember that you can add as many words and images as you like to each content area! You don't need to change your layout just to add a new paragraph or two. Just click in the spot where you'd like to add text, then start typing, or use the image tool to [a]add your own images[/a].
