How do I use Microsoft Publisher to publish my site?

If you create a web site with Microsoft Publisher, you can publish it to your account via FTP.

To publish a site you created with Publisher, you'll first need to set up FTP by adding an FTP location:

  1. Choose "Publish to the Web" from Publisher's File menu.
  2. In the "Save in" box of the "Publish to the Web" dialog, under "FTP Locations," choose "Add/Modify FTP Locations."
  3. Enter your FTP settings in the fields provided. You can find your personal FTP settings on the Create & Update and Manage tabs of your Web Hosting Control Panel, in the Web Hosting Account Details module under "FTP Account Info."
  4. Click "OK" to save your settings.
  5. Choose "OK" again to finish your FTP setup.

When you're ready to publish your site, you can upload your web site files to your account via FTP:

  1. Choose "Publish to the Web" from Publisher's File menu.
  2. In the "Save in" box of the "Publish to the Web" dialog, choose "FTP Locations."
  3. Double-click on the site to which you want to publish. If you want to publish to a subfolder of that site, navigate to that folder now.
  4. To publish your web site files to this location, click "Save."
