After you have created a user account in the Password Manager, proceed to the File Manager to assign access to one or more directories (remember that if you grant this account access to a directory, the user will be able to access all of that directory's subdirectories as well).
If you do not have any subdirectories, you can create them now in File Manager by clicking the "Create Subdirectory" link.
To assign user accounts to a particular subdirectory — for example, "subfolder2" — navigate to the subdirectory in your File Manager and open it by clicking its name. You can check the topmost blue bar of the File Manager to make sure you're in the right place: Make sure you are in the correct subdirectory (and, if you have multiple web sites, the correct domain). In our example, you should see something that looks like this:

To the right of this information (your folder path), locate "This directory is Public [Edit\." Click "Edit." You will arrive on a page that lists all of the user names you have created. Click the checkbox next to the name of each user account to which you would like to grant access to this subdirectory (subfolder2). Click "Change Access" to make your changes, then choose "Finish."
The subdirectory subfolder2 is now password-protected and can only be viewed by entering the user name and password associated with the user account you specified.
Important note: Your main or top-level directory — the folder you enter when you open the File Manager — is called your root directory. If you grant a user account viewing access at the root level, you will be giving that user access to your entire site.
