How do I access and manage my database?

To access your database or database tools, you'll need to enter the database administrator user name and password you created when you set up your database. Please note that this user name and password is not the same as the Yahoo! ID and password you use to sign in to your plan.

We recommend accessing your database using phpMyAdmin, a powerful database administration tool. Learn how to install phpMyAdmin.

To access your database through phpMyAdmin:

  1. Sign in to phpMyAdmin.
  2. You will be prompted for your database user name and password. Enter your user name and password now.
  3. Select the database you would like to manage from the pull-down menu on the left side of the page.
  4. In the "Run SQL query/queries on database DATABASE_NAME" form field, you can execute SQL queries to add or drop tables, insert data, select data, and more.

You may also access and manage your database using PHP or Perl.
