The extension .html is industry-standard extension for web pages created in HTML (which includes pages you create with a Yahoo! tool and, most likely, pages you create with third-party software). The .htm extension is a variation of the same extension that is supported by Microsoft, and we have made it possible to use this extension for your web site files.
By default, the page you'll see when you visit your web address is "index.html." If you don't have an index.html file, our servers will look for a file called "index.htm." If your web site does not contain either of these files, you will get a warning, and your web site visitors will see an error if they try to visit your web address. Learn more.
When you signed up for your plan, we created an index.html file for you. This file can be replaced with another index.html file or a index.htm file you create using one of our site building tools, such as SiteBuilder, or your own site building software.
