What is the root web?

A root web (known as the "top-level site" in FrontPage 2003) is the highest directory of your FrontPage site, the main folder that contains all of your web site's files. When you activate FrontPage, you'll create a default author who will have publishing access to the root web. You can protect your root web by activating subdirectories or creating new subwebs and restricting other users' access to those areas.
