In support of the Import Tracking Number feature, Yahoo! has made changes to the Reference Number field settings. Please review the changes outlined below to see how they may impact your current settings.
- Reference Number 1: Reserved. This field is reserved to provide shipment visibility for tracking purposes as we review and revise shipping functionality and usage. Merchants will see a twenty-digit code appearing in this field. This number will also appear on shipping labels printed from the Order Manager.
- Reference Numbers 2-4: Merchants can choose to set to Order ID, Domain name, or blank. Reference Number 2 will also appear on shipping labels printed from the Order Manager. Merchants that set Reference Number 1 to "Order ID" may wish to reset Reference Number 2 to "Order ID" using the instructions appearing below. (Reference Numbers 3-4 apply only to merchants exporting to UPS WorldShip).
- Reference Number 5: This field must be set to "Order ID" for WorldShip customers to use the Import Tracking Number feature. You must ensure that processing in WorldShip does not alter Reference Number 5 or else importing will not be successful.
