Enabling Your Product Catalog for Search Engines and Third Parties
Merchants may wish to enable their product catalog data file, catalog.xml. This file can then be used by search engines and other third party services such as product feeds for shopping comparison engines or advanced in-site search functionality.
- From the Store Manager, click Search Engines. This takes you to the Promote Your Site in Search Engines page, as shown in Figure 2.
- Locate the catalog.xml field and select the Enabled option, if it isn't already (see section A in Figure 2).
- Click Done. If you're curious about what this file looks like, view it by clicking the Download link.
