The Cross-Sell feature available to Merchant Solutions customers is more powerful than our older families-based cross-sell. It has been developed around the types of merchandising tasks that are most effective in driving additional purchases and larger orders from your shoppers. It offers:

Improved merchandising. The new cross-sell feature creates an attractive and visually compelling merchandising area on the shopping cart page. Shoppers may have previously missed the single text link for your cross-sell product, but now they will now see a product image, description, as well as a regular price and special discounted price (if applicable). In addition, they can click to view more product detail or add the product directly to their cart in a single click.

Directional cross-sell definitions. You can define the direction of a cross-sell promotion. So you can show shoppers the batteries that go with the flashlight they purchase, without showing battery purchasers the flashlight that may be irrelevant to their battery purchase.

Discounts. By defining discounts on cross-sell items that only apply at the time of purchase, you can give shoppers an added incentive to buy immediately.
