An authorization only applies when the order is placed in your store by the buyer. Merchants cannot submit an authorization for payment manually. Merchants can perform a reauthorization (if beyond the original 3-day honor period) to verify the buyer's account has the funds to capture. Otherwise, you can ask the buyer to place the order again or you will need to make alternate payment arrangements such as a manual credit card transaction or requesting money within PayPal.
