Creating Shipping Tables

You might want to print out these step-by-step instructions before you get started:

To add a Shipping Rule:

  1. Sign in to the Store Manager.
  2. Click the "Shipping Manager" link.
  3. Click the "Shipping Rates" link.
  4. Click the [Add Rule] button.

To set the Shipping Rule type:

  1. Select the location for the Shipping rule and click [Next].
  2. Select the Shipping Method(s) for the rule from the drop-down menu and click [Next].
  3. Select the Rate Table Rule Type and click [Next].
  4. Select the basis for the table you are using. You can base your table on one of several criteria as follows:
    1. If you select a basis of "TAXABLE_AMOUNT," then the ranges in your table represent the subtotal of the items in an order that have their "Taxable" property set to "Yes."
    2. If you select a basis of "NONTAXABLE_AMOUNT," then the ranges will represent the subtotal of the items in an order that have their "Taxable" property set to "No."
    3. If you select a basis of "AMOUNT," then the ranges will represent the subtotal amount of the entire order.
    4. If you select a basis of "WEIGHT," then the ranges will represent a total of the "Ship-weight" properties of the items in the order (individual quantities of each item will be accounted for).
    5. If you select a basis of "ITEMS," then the ranges will represent the total number of individual items in the order.
    6. If the basis "SHIPMENTS" is selected, this will have no effect, as the value for "SHIPMENTS" is currently always going to be 1.
  5. Enter the specific charges for the ranges in the empty table that's provided. The amount you enter in the "From" column represents the low end of your range and the upper end of the previous range. The amount you enter in the "Charge is" column is the amount of the shipping charge for that range.
  6. Click [Done] when you are done.
  7. Click "Publish Order Settings" from the Store Manager to publish your changes.
