For the flat rate charge, you have three options. You can add a charge:

• per order
• per pound
• per item

The flat rate charge is useful if you simply want one rate applied to all orders or if you want to add an extra charge to specific orders.

For example, if you applied a 3% charge to all orders but you want to charge an extra $10 to all Next Day Air orders, you could use a flat rate that only applies to Next Day Air orders in conjunction with your percentage.
