How do I update the URLs of my custom order buttons?

Note: The following document applies only to merchants that signed up prior to 04/12/2006 have access to the version 1 and 2 checkout flows.

If you have any custom order buttons, such as multiple add-to-cart buttons, or custom buttons not created using Store Tags, you will need to update the URL to which the button links.

Currently, your order buttons look like this:

http://order.store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/wg-order?yhst-############+itemid

where "yhst-##############" represents your Store Account name and "itemid" represents the ID of the item associated with the order button.

Yahoo! Store merchants (not Merchant Solutions) will see the account name they selected in the URL rather than the auto-assigned yhst number.

Your custom checkout pages will be hosted on order.store.yahoo.net so the URL will change to

http://order.store.yahoo.net/cgi-bin/wg-order?yhst-############+itemid

As you can see, only the domain extension will be changing from .com to .net. This change will need to be made for all custom order buttons.

Note: Merchants that wish to have custom order buttons direct shoppers to a secure shopping cart page will need to use "https" instead of "http" in the URL. Typically shopping cart pages are not secure as they do not contain any personal or financial data--only a record of items in the cart. All other checkout pages (shipping, billing, confirmation) will be secure automatically.
