The Checkout Manager includes the ability for merchants to disable the Order Review page. The Order Review page presents the buyer with the chance to review their billing and shipping information as well as the total charges associated with the order. You may wish to disable this page to present one less page in the checkout process and streamline the checkout flow. You should exercise caution in deciding not to display the Order Review page as removing the page has advantages as well as disadvantages.

Including the Order Review page:

• [+] Allows the shopper to pause and review shipping and billing information as well as total charges.
• [+] Allows the shopper to feel in control of the purchase process by including an extra step where they explicitly choose to place the order after reviewing all information. This can be especially important if the order total is high and your shoppers are typically first-time buyers.
  
• [-] Adds an extra step to checkout process which may increase shopping cart abandonment.
• [-] May deter impulse buys by giving the buyer another chance to back out of sale.

Removing the Order Review page:

• [+] Streamlines the checkout flow which may help to increase conversions from shoppers to buyers.
• [+] If you sell low cost items, or order totals are typically small and you have many repeat shoppers, the buyer may not need the extra step in checkout.
• [-] Buyers expecting an order review page may initiate a chargeback if they feel they inadvertently ordered a product.

Other Changes to Checkout when hiding the Order Review page:

• the "Continue" button on the Billing page will change to "Send Order"
• the Progress Indicator (if enabled) will change to reflect the revised checkout flow

You are encouraged to assess which checkout flow works best for increasing conversions without increasing returns or chargebacks by removing or including this page over a period of time where sales are comparable.

To enable an Order Review page setting:

1. From the Checkout Manager main page, click the "Global Settings" link.
2. Select an option for the Order Review page:
   • Show: select to include the Order Review page.
   • Hide: select to not display the Order Review page.
3. Click "Save" when finished or "Preview" to save and view your changes.
4. Return to the Store Manager and publish your changes when ready.
