Note:The following page outlines variables that are only found in the 3.0 version of the Store Editor. If you do not see this section of variables, you are using the 2.0 version of Store Editor and can focus on variables specific to Store Editor 2.0.

The Home Page Contents Variables appear towards the middle of the Variables page in the Store Editor. Home Page Contents Variables allow you to control the look of headers (font, font size, and color) and the content. Home Page Contents Variables include:

Message-background-color: Enter or select a background color for the message area, appearing below the message header (home page only--valid only for certain pre-designed themes*).

Message-background-image: Upload an image for the message area, appearing below the message header (home page only--valid only for certain pre-designed themes*).

Message-text-color: Enter or select a color to be used for the text of the message area (home page only--valid only for certain pre-designed themes*).

* Note: These variables appear for all templates but are only referenced in the CSS for certain pre-designed templates. If you chose a generic template in the Design Wizard, your CSS files will not reference these variables unless you specifically edit your CSS to use them.

Message-title: Enter text to appear in the Message headline (appears on the Home page). By default, "Reasons to shop from us" appears for side navigation templates, and "Welcome" appears as the text for this header for top-navigation templates. You can enter a longer message for the headline. (see A figure 1)

Message-title-background-color: Enter or select a background color for the message headline (appears on the Home page--see B figure 1). Note: This variable only applies to side-navigation layout templates. You can use this variable but you will need to edit the CSS files to reference the variable in order to do so.

Message-title-background-image: Upload an image for the message headline (appears on the Home page). The image will repeat if it does not fill the entire space available. (see B figure 1)

Message-title-text-color: Enter or select a color to be used for the text of the mwessage headline (appears on the Home page--see A figure 1).

Message-title-text-font: Select the font to be used for the text of the message headline (appears on the Home page--see A figure 1).

Message-title-text-size: Enter the font size for the text of the message headline (appears on the Home page--see A figure 1).

Specials-title: Enter text to appear in the headline for specials on your home page. By default, "Featured Products" appears as the text for this headline, but you can change this to be "Best Sellers", "New Products" or whatever you wish. (see A figure 2)

Specials-title-background-color: Enter or select a color to be used for the text of the specials headline (appears on the home page when specials appear--see B figure 2)

Specials-title-background-image: Upload an image to appear as the background of the specials headline (appears on the home page when specials appear--see B figure 2; image not shown).

Specials-title-border-bottom-color: Enter or select a color to be used as a border below the specials headline (top navigation templates only).

Specials-title-color: Enter or select a color to be used for the text of the specials headline (appears on the home page when specials appear--see A figure 2).

Specials-title-text-font: Select the font to be used for the text of the specials headline (appears on the home page when specials appear--see A figure 2).

Specials-title-text-size: Enter the font size for the text of the specials headline (appears on the home page when specials appear--see A figure 2).
