Pre-designed templates provide a more visually interesting choice for merchants as they include images throughout. With any of the pre-designed templates both the layout and the color palette have been pre-selected, and also customized images are used.

You can customize any aspect of a pre-designed template including:

• Uploading your own logo or entire site header
• Changing any of the images used in the template by uploading new images
• Changing any of the color values used in the template

As with the example shown above, if the theme you select has a background color or image within the body, you will need images that have either a transparent background, or a background of the same color. Pre-designed templates do include choices with white background though that will work with any product photos you may have.

Generic templates are more flexible in terms of customizing because you can select your navigation layout (side or top) and also the color palette you wish to use. Learn more about generic templates.
