Disabling Firewall to Publish

When publishing, Yahoo! SiteBuilder needs to communicate with the Yahoo! Web Hosting servers in order to verify the ability to upload files to the site you select. At times, such outbound communication can be perceived as a security threat by anti-virus or firewall software, believing that a malicious program is attempting to initiate contact without permission of the owner. In order to prevent publishing problems, you should disable such software, or permit Yahoo! SiteBuilder to have full access for inbound and outbound communication.

Please disable or grant access to Yahoo! SiteBuilder for any firewall software (Norton, McAffee, ZoneAlarm or similar) only when trying to import or publish with SiteBuilder. Consult the help files for your particular software for instructions for disabling or granting access. If you utilize a router, verify that the built-in firewall is not disabling the Internet connection for the SiteBuilder program.

Once you have checked these items, try to publish or import with SiteBuilder again, as this may resolve issues with publishing.
