The Store Editor allows you to remove one or more navigation buttons on all pages using a variable (Nav-buttons) with the exception of the Home page. You can remove navigation buttons directly on the Home page in Edit mode, or you can override the Nav-buttons variable on any page to remove buttons on a specific page. You can even remove all buttons appearing on your Shopping Cart.
To remove standard buttons using a variable:
- From the Store Editor, click "Variables" in the Editor toolbar on any page.
- Scroll to the "Button Properties" section of the Variables page.
- Click the "Change" button for the "Nav-buttons" field.
The Edit List Position page loads where you can remove buttons.
- Click in the text box for the button(s) you wish to remove and delete the number from the text box.
There is no need to renumber buttons in the menu as the order will remain the same minus the buttons that were removed.
- Click "Update" when finished
- Click "Update" to return to the "Edit" view of the page.
Your changes should appear.
- When ready, click "Publish" in the Editor toolbar to push your changes to your live site.
These changes are made to all navigation bars throughout your store with the exception of the Home page and any pages with variable overrides to the nav-buttons field.
