Item pages typically consist of a single large image accompanied an "Order" button and text that describes the item.
In the toolbar at the bottom of your Section page, you'll see an "Item" button. Click on "Item" to go to a page with fields where you enter information to determine the look of your Item page.
These fields include: Name, Caption, Code, and Price.
In the "Name" field, enter the name of your Item. For example: Gadget.
In the "Code" field, enter the Item's SKU, stock number, ISBN, or any other alpha-numeric code you use to identify your products. For example: X123.
In the "Price" field, enter the item's price. Do not include a dollar sign. For quantity pricing, you can use several numbers -- 12 2 20 10 80 means 1 for $12, 2 for $20, or 10 for $80.
Just as you did on the Section page, use the "Caption" field on the Item page to add descriptive text for your product. Type whatever you'd like. If you enter several paragraphs of text, use blank lines to separate them.
Tip: You can incorporate HTML code into your caption to create a more customized design for your product description.
The remaining fields on this page are optional, but may be used to customize the product further. From the Edit page, you can click the "Help" button (located at the top of the page) for definitions of all the fields listed.
When you're done, click on the "Update" button to view the page for your new "Item."
In the toolbar at the bottom of the Item page, you'll see a "Special" button. Click on the "Special" button if you wish to feature this Item on the front page of your store. To remove a "Special" from your home page, you need to click on the "Not Special" button on the toolbar at the bottom of the Item page.
Here's how to add another Item page to the Section. In the Editor toolbar, you’ll see an “Up” button. This button always leads to a Section page. Click "Up" until you get to your Section page.
When you return to the Section page, you'll now see a link to the Item page you just created.
To create a new Item page in the same section, click on "Item" again and fill out the fields to describe this next item. Then click on "Update" to see your second Item page.
Any time you want to add an item, first go to the Section where it should appear. (Go to the front page if you are not using Sections). Click on "Item."
