If you use Trackable Links and wish to track these links using Yahoo! Web Analytics, you can add a unique identifier to the end of your trackable link, which will be recorded in your reports.
For this example, the unique identifier ?myid1234 will be added to http://mydomain.com/bestproduct.html, so the link directed to and recorded is http://mydomain.com/bestproduct.html?myid1234. In order to do this, your trackable link would need to be formatted as follows, ensuring that the question mark (?) in unique identifier is URL encoded:
[URL generated by Create Links tool]+http://mydomain.com/bestproduct.html%3fmyid1234
For example:
http://store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/clink?yhst-11111111111111+AbCDeF+http://mydomain.com/bestproduct.html%3fmyid1234
In this case, the question mark (?) in the unique identifier ?myid1234 has been URL encoded using %3f. When a visitor is directed to your site using this trackable link, the URL recorded will include the unique identifier.
