Yahoo! Web Analytics gives you the ability to be notified by email about key site performance metrics. Using the Alerts feature, you can performance values for specific metrics that you'd like to be alerted to.

1. Open a report for which you'd like to create an email alert. For example, you may wish to be alerted when the bounce rate of a page is above or below a certain percentage. In this case, you could open the Bounce Rate by Entry Page URL or Bounce Rate by Entry Page Title reports.
2. Right-click on any figure in the report and select "Add Alert" (Figure 1). The "Add Alert " window will open.

3. Enter details of your alert in the Add Alert window (Figure 2):
   
   
• Enter a name for your alert.
• Choose what to monitor: average, each item individually, or one unique item.

For example, to monitor the bounce rate of one page only, choose one unique item. To monitor the bounce rate of all pages (for a single project), choose each item individually. To monitor the bounce rate of all pages across multiple projects, choose average.


• Set how frequently and at what time Yahoo! Web Analytics should perform a check for the metric being monitored.
• Define high and low values to trigger an email alert.
• Enter the delivery email address for your alert. You may choose to include comments about the alert in the "Comments" field (optional).

4. Use the "Enable" checkbox to turn on the alert.
5. Click the "Update" button.

Saved alerts may be accessed from the Settings page. To manage a saved alert:

1. In the Yahoo! Web Analytics reporting interface, click the "Settings" link at the top of the page.
2. On the Settings page, locate the Scheduled Email Reports section (Figure 3). Click the "Setup Alerts" link.

3. A list of alerts will be displayed. To edit an alert, click the "Edit" icon beside the alert. To delete the alert, click the "Delete" icon beside the alert.
