Rating your own store is considered a violation of Yahoo! Merchant Solutions store guidelines. Merchants who are caught rating their own stores or using any other unethical practices to increase their rating score will be removed from Yahoo! Shopping.
Yahoo! also reserves the right to cancel the violator's Yahoo! Merchant Solutions store.
The following practices violate the integrity of the merchant rating process and will no longer be tolerated.
Merchant Rating Violations
Shill Feedback – Using your own feedback or that of others to artificially raise your merchant ratings by submitting fake feedback is forbidden.
Phony Orders – Creating phony orders with subsequent false feedback to enhance merchant ratings is forbidden.
Modifying/Editing/Deleting Orders – Editing or deleting your orders in order to change your merchant rating or remove poor ratings is forbidden.
Rating Solicitation – Offering to buy or trade for positive feedback is forbidden.
Self-feedback – Entering feedback on behalf of a customer, without that customer's permission is forbidden.
