password protection
Password protection is a Web Hosting security feature that allows you to restrict unauthorized access to a file, folder, or subdomain. You can also use password protection to control FTP access to your site folders. Learn more.

Password Manager
Yahoo! Web Hosting's Password Manager gives you the ability to control who can view your site or various areas within your site, such as a folder or subdomain. You can use this tool to create user accounts that can then be assigned access privileges on your site. Learn more.

Merchant Solutions customers can use PayPal Express Checkout, while Web Hosting users can try our PayPal buttons.

pending
Pending means that the domain associated with your Small Business plan is not yet active across the Internet. As soon as the domain becomes active (it can take up to 72 hours), you can begin using your account. Learn more about pending domains.

If you're a Business Mail owner or administrator, pending can also refer to the status of one of your email users. If a user is pending, the person hasn't activated the address. Make sure he or she received your invitation (did you send it to the correct address?) and, if it did arrive, remind the user to activate the address.

With a Web Hosting or Merchant Solutions plan, you can write your own Perl scripts and take advantage of Perl-based advanced add-ons such as creating an online bulletin board. Learn more.

permalink
A permalink ("permanent link") is a static web address that readers of a blog or news source can use to reference a specific blog post or entry. All of your Web Hosting blog tools allow you to set up permalinks for your blog so your readers can easily link to your posts, helping you drive and retain traffic to your site.

Personal Address
Yahoo! Personal Address allows you to send and receive email messages using a customized email address that matches your domain, such as linda@learn2yoga.com. Personal Address includes up to 10 customized email addresses, each of which is associated with a free Yahoo! Mail account, which makes it easy to use and manage. If you signed up for Yahoo! Web Hosting Starter before August 17, 2004, and have not upgraded to Yahoo! Business Mail, your email service is Personal Address. Learn more.

Posts are usually arranged on a blog in reverse chronological order and can include text, photos, or both; some also provide a way for readers to submit comments pertinent to that post. You can add as many posts to your blog as you like, and most blogs are updated with new posts frequently. Learn more about blogs.
