The Top Traffic Sources section of your Site Traffic page shows the top sources of traffic referred to your web site for the time period and site metric you've selected. Traffic sources and data for each source are shown in order of most-to-least referrals, and so the order in which sources appear may change depending on the metric and time period you're viewing this information for.

Your top traffic sources data can help you gain insight into what your best sources of traffic are, as well as what traffic sources lead to the most bounces from your site. This can help you understand what traffic sources are working best for you, and what traffic sources may be misleading or are not providing information that sets the correct expectation for what visitors clicking-through to your site are looking for.

• Unique visitors
• Visits
• Page views
• Average pages per visit
• Average time spent on your site
• New visitors to your site (by number of visitors)
• New visitors to your site (by percentage of visitors)
• Bounce rate

To select the metric you wish to view this data for, use the drop-down list located in the upper-right corner of the Top Traffic Sources section.

Selecting a Time Period

You may change the time period you wish to display your site traffic information for. You can select to view information for the last 7-day period and the previous 7-day period, the last 30-day period and the previous 30-day period, and the last 365-day period and previous 365-day period. (Viewing data for these time periods requires that this data is available.)

To select one of these time periods, click the "7D" (7-day) button, "30D" (30-day) button, or "365D" (365-day) button located at the top of your Site Traffic page. The time period you select will be applied to all data on your Site Traffic page.
