Windows Phone 7

To configure your POP settings for your Windows Phone 7:

  1. Access the App list (tap the right arrow or swipe to the right).

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Tap "Email + Accounts".

  4. Tap "Add an Account".

  5. Tap "Advanced Setup".

  6. Enter the full Yahoo! Business Email address (for example, "john@yourdomain.com") and the Yahoo! Business Email password. Tap Next.

  7. Tap "Internet email".

  8. Enter the following information:
    • Account Name: Enter a description for this email address.
    • Your name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From field of your outgoing messages.
    • Incoming email server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
    • Account Type: IMAP4
    • Username: Enter your full Yahoo! Business Email address.
    • Password: Your Yahoo! Business Email password.
    • Outgoing (SMTP) email server: smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com
    • Select the checkbox next to "Outgoing server requires authentication".
    • Select the checkbox next to "Use the same username and password for sending email".

      NOTE: If you cannot use IMAP because your account is set up as POP only, you will need to change the Account Type to "POP," the Incoming Server to "pop.bizmail.yahoo.com."

  9. Tap Advanced Settings.

  10. Select the checkboxes for:
    • Outgoing server requires authentication
    • Use the same user name and password for sending email
    • Require SSL for incoming mail
    • Require SSL for outgoing mail
  11. Tap Sign in to complete set up.
