To add a new Yahoo! Business Email POP email account in Microsoft Entourage for Macintosh computers:
(Instructions based on Microsoft Entourage 2004 for Mac and may differ from other versions of the program)

1. Launch Entourage.
2. Click the "Tools" link.

3. Click the "Accounts" link in the Tools pull-down menu.

4. In the Accounts pop-up-window:
   • Click "New".

5. In the New Account window:
   • Account type: Select "POP" from the pull-down menu.
   • Click the OK button

6. In the Edit Account window, Account Settings section:
   • Account name: A name identifying the account in the Entourage account list.
   • Personal information:
     • Name: The name you would like to appear in the "From" field of outgoing messages
     • Email address: The Yahoo! Business Email email address
   • Receiving mail:
     • Account ID: Yahoo! Business Email email address
     • POP server: pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
     • Password: The Yahoo! Business Email password
   • Sending mail:
     • SMTP server: smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com

7. In the Receiving mail section:
   • Click the Click here for advanced receiving options button.

8. In the advanced receiving options pop-up window:
   • Click the checkbox for "This POP service requires a secure connection (SSL)".
   • The POP port number should change to 995. If it does not, check the box for "Override default POP port" and enter port number 995.
   • Click the box in the upper left corner of the pop-up window to close it.

9. In the Sending mail section:
   • Click the Click here for advanced sending options button.

10. In the advanced sending options pop-up:
    • Click the checkbox for "SMTP service requires a secure connection (SSL)"
    • Check the box for "Override default SMTP port" and enter port number 465
    • Click the checkbox for "SMTP server requires authentication"
    • Select the radio button for "use same settings as receiving mail server" if it is not automatically selected
    • Click the box in the upper left corner of the pop-up window to close it

    Note: If you encounter difficulty sending email, return to these settings and enter the alternate settings:
    • Do not click the checkbox for "SMTP service requires a secure connection (SSL)"
    • Check the box for "Override default SMTP port" and enter port number 587
    • Click the checkbox for "SMTP server requires authentication"
    • Select the radio button for "use same settings as receiving mail server" if it is not automatically selected
    • Click the box in the upper left corner of the pop-up window to close it
11. Click the Options button.

12. In the Server options section:
    • Check "Partially receive messages over ___ KB" if you would like Entourage to only partially download large messages which exceed the limit specified instead of the entire message.
    • Check "Leave a copy of each message on the server" if you would like Entourage to leave a copy of each message on the Yahoo! servers when downloading to Entourage.
    • Check "Delete messages from the server after ___ days" if you would like downloaded messages to be deleted from the Yahoo! servers after the specified period of time.
    • Check "Delete messages from the server after they are deleted from this computer" if you would like Entourage to delete the copies messages on the Yahoo! servers when you delete the copy in Entourage's Deleted Items folder.

13. Click the OK button to complete set up.
