Versions 5.1 and higher of Eudora/Eudora Pro allow you to set up multiple email accounts, so you don't have to replace your current POP and SMTP settings in order to send and receive new Yahoo! Business Email messages.
To add a new Yahoo! Business Email POP email account in Eudora:
(Instructions based on Eudora version 7.1.0.9 and may differ from other versions of the program)
- Launch Eudora.
- Click the "Tools" menu link.

- Select "Personalities" from the "Tools" pull-down menu.

- Right-click either the "Persona" or "Account" box on the left of the screen.
(The box may be labeled "Personalities" in some versions of Eudora)

- Select "New" in the pull-down menu.

- In the New Account Wizard:
- On the "Generic Properties" tab of the Create New Account dialog box, enter the following information:
- Personality Name: A name to identify the account in Eudora's accounts list
- Real Name: The name that will appear in the "From" field of outgoing messages.
- Email address: The Yahoo! Business Email address
- User Name: The entire Yahoo! Business Email address
- SMTP Server: smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com
- Click the checkbox for "Authentication allowed"
- Click the checkbox for "Use submission port (587)"
- In the "Secure Sockets when Sending section, select "Required, Alternate Port" in the pull-down menu

- Click the "Incoming Mail" tab.

- On the "Incoming Mail" tab, enter the following information:
- Server: pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
- Configuration: select the POP radio button
- To control deletion of messages from the Yahoo! Business Email server:
- Check "Leave mail on server" if you would like Eudora to leave a copy of each message on the Yahoo! servers when downloading to Eudora.
- Check "Delete from server after ___ days" if you would like downloaded messages to be deleted from the Yahoo! servers after the specified period of time.
- Check "Delete from server when emptied from Trash" if you would like Eudora to delete the copies messages on the Yahoo! servers when you delete the copy in Eudora's Trash folder.
- Check "Skip messages over ___ K in size" if you would like Eudora to skip downloading large messages which exceed the limit specified.
- Authentication style: Select the "Passwords" radio button.
- Secure Sockets when Receiving: Select "Required, Alternate Port" in the pull-down menu.
- Click the OK button.

- Double click the Persona or Account name in the accounts list on the left to send an email. (Even if you don't need to send an email you can send one to yourself in order to complete set-up.)

- Compose your message, or just enter your own email address in the "To" field.

Click the Send button.
- In the Enter Password dialog box:
- Enter the Yahoo! Business Email password.
- If you don't want to be prompted to enter the password each time you send or receive email, check the box to "Remember password for this personality"
- Click the OK button.

You can choose whether Eudora leaves copies of email messages on the Yahoo! server when downloading them to your computer or whether they are deleted from the Yahoo! server when downloaded to your computer.
To control deletion of messages from the Yahoo! Mail server:
- Launch Eudora.
- In the accounts list on the left, right-click the name of the account you want to edit.

- Select "Properties" in the pull-down menu.

- In the Account Settings dialog box, click the "Incoming Mail" tab.

- To control deletion of messages from the Yahoo! Business Email server:
- Check "Leave mail on server" if you would like Eudora to leave a copy of each message on the Yahoo! servers when downloading to Eudora.
- Check "Delete from server after ___ days" if you would like downloaded messages to be deleted from the Yahoo! servers after the specified period of time.
- Check "Delete from server when emptied from Trash" if you would like Eudora to delete the copies messages on the Yahoo! servers when you delete the copy in Eudora's Trash folder.
