Outlook allows you to add a new email account to your existing profile. This means you do not have to replace your current settings in order to send and receive Yahoo! Business Email messages.
To add a new Yahoo! Business Email POP email account in Microsoft Outlook 2000:
(Instructions based on Microsoft Outlook 2000 and may differ from other versions of the program)

Launch Outlook.

Click the "Tools" menu link.

- In the Tools pull-down menu:

In the Add pull-down menu:

- In the "Your Name" window:
- Display Name: Enter the name that will appear in the "From" field of outgoing messages.
- Click the Next button.

- In the Internet E-Mail Address window:
- Email address: Enter the Yahoo! Business Email email address
- Click the Next button

- In the Internet Mail Logon window:
- Account name: Enter the Yahoo! Business Email email address
- Password: Enter the Yahoo! Business Email password
- Do not check the "Log on using secure password" box
- Click the Next button

- Select the radio button for the connection method you will be using
- Click the Next button

Note: If you select "Connect using my phone line", Outlook may guide you through set up for the dial-up connection.

- In the Internet Accounts window:
- Select the Yahoo! Business Email account in the accounts list
- Click the Properties button

- Click the "Servers" tab.

- On the Servers tab:
- Click the checkbox for "My server requires authentication"
- Click the Settings... button

- In the Outgoing Mail Server window:
- Select the radio button for "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"
- Click the OK button

- Click on the Advanced tab.

- On the Advanced tab:
- Under "Outgoing mail Server (SMTP)," check the box next to "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)."
- Enter port number "465" in the "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" field.
- Under "Incoming mail (POP3)," check the box next to "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)."
- The port number in the "Incoming mail (POP3)" field should automatically change from 110 to 995. If it doesn't, change the port number to 995.
- In the Delivery section:
- Check "Leave a copy of messages on server" if you want to save your Yahoo! Mail messages on the Yahoo! Mail server as well as on your local computer. Do not check this box if you want your messages to be deleted from the Yahoo! Mail server once you have received them in Outlook Express.
- Check "Remove from server after ___ day(s)" if you would like downloaded messages to be deleted from the Yahoo! servers after the specified period of time.
- Check "Remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items'" if you would like Outlook Express to delete the copies messages on the Yahoo! servers when you delete the copy in Outlook Express's Deleted Items folder.
