You can use your password to log in to personalized features such as Yahoo! Mail, My Yahoo!, Yahoo! Chat, Yahoo! Message Boards, Yahoo! Clubs, and Yahoo! Calendar, among others.

Your security key is only required when trying to access secure areas of Yahoo!, such as Yahoo! Store. Your security key must be different from your password.

To protect your information, never give your Yahoo! password or security key to any non-Yahoo! web site or person.
