If you made a purchase through Yahoo! Shopping from a covered merchant and feel that you were a victim of fraud, please follow these steps:

  1. First, try to communicate directly with the merchant. Many problems are simple misunderstandings.
  2. If you're unable to resolve the matter with the merchant, you must check with your credit card company to see if they can resolve the problem.
  3. If you're unable to resolve the matter through your credit card company, you should then file a complaint with Yahoo!
  4. When it's received, the complaint is handled through our Complaint Resolution Process. We send an email to you and the merchant confirming receipt of the complaint and providing an explanation of the next steps. The email to the merchant will include a description of your complaint.
  5. You must have copies of all supporting documents (email communications with the seller, proof of payment, photographs of the item, etc.) and any communication from your credit card company, should we make that request.
  6. Your claim must be postmarked within 60 days of purchase.

After you file your claim, the claims administrator investigates the sale and contacts you with a decision within 45 days of receipt of your claim and all relevant documents. If you're involved in a claim, Yahoo! might share certain transaction information with cynoSure Financial Inc. in order to facilitate the investigation and resolution of the claim. cynoSure Financial Inc. might only use this information in order to process claims.
