Think of tags as keywords or labels that you use to group common items. Tags can be added by anyone to any video or channel in Yahoo! Video. The power of tags is that you can easily browse them to tap into great content that others find on the Web.

With tags, instead of only seeing results served and categorized by a computer, you can browse videos and channels personally reviewed and categorized by real people. To view all tags, click the "Tags" tab located above results on the Yahoo! Video home page. You see a "tag cloud" that includes all tags. How a tag displays in the tag cloud is influenced by its popularity. The words or phrases most commonly used as tags are displayed most prominently.

You can add a tag to a video or channel in two ways:

• Uploading your own videos and channel: As an upload user, you can tag your content with the terms you feel are appropriate. (Note that offensive language violates our terms of service and will be removed). As an uploader, your tags are given additional weight over regular users who might subsequently tag your videos or channel.
• Adding or saving channels or videos: Whenever you add or save something to your favorites you have the option to add tags to it. These tags are added to the public tag cloud and show up not only for you but for all other users to see.
