Who should use this form?

To see if a site or page is listed in the Yahoo! Search Index, enter a phrase (5-10 words) unique to the page in the search box on the Yahoo! Search page. Make sure to enclose your phrase in quotation marks.

If your site appears in the results, it's listed in the Yahoo! Search Index, and you don't need to complete this form as this request will not be processed. If your site or page is not displayed on the search results page, you need to fill in this form.

Yahoo Search Results and the Yahoo! Search Index

If your website is listed in the Yahoo! Index but does not appear to come up in the Yahoo! Search results, it may be because it's not ranking in the top results for those particular searches. If you notice that your site no longer ranks the same for a particular query, then most likely your site’s ranking has changed. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer specific advice on the placement of any given site in web search results. However, there are several reasons why the site may no longer be in the Search Index:

• The site may no longer conform to our Content Quality Guidelines. Sites that violate our guidelines may be removed from our index. If you modified your site, consult our guidelines to ensure your site is in compliance.
• The crawler might not have discovered the site.
• The pages have been crawled but have not updated in the Search Index.
• The pages are blocked from being crawled through a robots.txt file or IP blocking.
• The site may have been dropped temporarily.
