Your browser’s “homepage” is the webpage that you see each time you open a new browser window.
To set My Yahoo! as your homepage, follow the instructions for your browser:
- Internet Explorer 8.0, 7.0, and 6.0
- Firefox 3.5
- Firefox 2.0 and 3.0
- Safari 3.x and 4.0
- Safari 1.x and 2.x
- Google Chrome
- Opera
If you’re running a browser other than those listed above, refer to your browser's help file for instructions on setting Yahoo! as your homepage.
Internet Explorer 8.0, 7.0, and 6.0
To set your homepage to My Yahoo! in Internet Explorer 8.0, 7.0, and 6.0 on Microsoft Windows:- From the Tools menu, select Internet Options. The Internet Options dialog box (in version 6.0, it is the Options dialog box) appears.
- On the General tab, in the Home page text box, type http://my.yahoo.com.

- Click Apply, and then OK.
Now, every time you start Internet Explorer, your My Yahoo! page appears.
To set your homepage in Firefox 3.5 on Microsoft Windows:
- From the Tools menu, select Options. The Options dialog box appears.
- In the Options dialog box, click Main.
- In the Home Page text box, type http://my.yahoo.com.

- Click OK.
Now, every time you start Firefox, your My Yahoo! page appears.
To set your homepage in Firefox 2.0 and 3.0 on Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X:
- On a Windows PC, from the Tools menu, select Options. The Options dialog box appears.
- On a Macintosh, from the Firefox menu, select Preferences. The Options dialog box appears.
- In the Options dialog box, click Main.
- In the Home Page text box, type http://my.yahoo.com.

- Click OK.
Now, every time you start Firefox, your My Yahoo! page appears.
To set your homepage in Safari 3.x and 4.0 for Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows:
- On a Macintosh, from the Safari menu, select Preferences. The General dialog box appears.
- On a Windows PC, from the Actions pull-down menu which looks like a gear, select Preferences. The General dialog box appears. Note: You can also choose Preferences from the Edit menu on Windows.
- In the General dialog box, click General (if it’s not already selected).
- In the Home Page text box, type http://my.yahoo.com.

- Click the red X button to close the dialog box.
Now, every time you start Safari, your My Yahoo! page appears.
To set your homepage in Safari 2.x or 1.x for Mac OS X:
- From the Safari menu, select Preferences. The General dialog box appears.
- In the General dialog box, click the General tab (if it’s not already selected).
- In the Home Page text box, type http://my.yahoo.com.
- Click the red X button to close the dialog box.

Now, every time you start Safari, your My Yahoo! page appears.
To set your homepage in Google Chrome for Microsoft Windows:
- Click the wrench icon
in the upper right-hand corner of the browser to display its pull-down menu. - Select Options. The Google Chrome Options dialog box appears.
- Click the Basics tab (if it’s not already selected).
- In the Home page section, select Open this page, and then type http://my.yahoo.com.

- Click Close.
Now, every time you start Google Chrome, your My Yahoo! page appears.
- From the Tools menu, select Preferences.
- Click the General tab.
- In the Startup pull-down menu, click Start with home page.
- In the Home page field, type http://my.yahoo.com.
- Click OK.
Now, every time you start Opera, your My Yahoo! page appears.
