Yahoo! Real Estate seeks to provide our users with the best possible experience on our site. The majority of our users are looking for the most comprehensive set of listings possible, which is generally provided by the local MLS (Multiple Listing Service), and is where we direct our “Agent / MLS Listings” searches (more information on listing types). In order to address the needs of the highest number of users, we've set the default search to “Agent / MLS Listings”, but users can easily select other property/search types using the drop down menu on the homes search box.
