Click on the “Settings” link located at the top right of your profile and select the “People Search” tab. To opt into People Search, make sure to check the box that appears in front of “Allow people to find me by searching for my first name, last name, or display name”. (For teens, this message will be “Allow people to find me by searching for my first name or display name”). Hit “Save” to save your settings.

You may also be searchable by any email address listed on the People Search page. To make your profile searchable by an email address, simply check the box that appears in front of the appropriate email address. By checking the box that appears in front of an email address, it will then act as a URL for your profile page. For example, if you make free2rhyme@altavista.com a searchable email address, others who know your email address can find your profile by going directly to http://profiles.yahoo.com/free2rhyme@altavista.com. However, this URL and the email address that you have opted into People Search will not be disclosed to the public.

(Note: If you decide to opt out your full name and display name from People Search, you won’t be able to opt in any email addresses listed on that page).
