Some of you have expressed your concern with being unable to verify whether or not a user is over 18. Don’t worry!! This feature is built in to the Yahoo! system. Any users under the age of 18 will not be able to get to a group that is marked as mature content that may not be appropriate for minors.

This takes place whether or not a user has updated their profile, or whether or not you can view their profile. As a group owner, you don’t have to do anything to verify a user’s age.

With the launch of the new Profile on Yahoo!, we no longer display when a user registered their account. We know some of you used this data in the past when approving new members to your Group.
