Replace an article

You have reached the maximum number of saved articles. Your oldest saved article will be replaced with the new one.

Some of you have reported the following message: "We've launched a new profile on Yahoo!. The user you are searching for either does not exist, or has chosen to keep their profile private". If you get this message on your own profile, please check your People Search settings. If any of your user names are not "checked", you're profile URL will produce this message.

To edit activate your profile URL, please follow these easy steps:

  1. Sign into your account by visiting http://profiles.yahoo.com.
  2. Click on 'Settings', located directly above your 'Connections' module.
  3. Click the 'Search' tab located on the right-hand side of the page.
  4. Your main Yahoo! ID and any Alias will be shown. Mark any ID in the checkbox if you wish to activate your profile URL(s).

By making your Yahoo! ID and Alias searchable, it will act as a URL for your profile page. For example, if john@user.com is a searchable ID, others can find your profile by going to http://profiles.yahoo.com/john@user.com.
