To save an unfinished message without sending it, click the "Save Draft" button below the large text window and the word verification interface. The next time that you click the Connection, your draft is shown as saved in the message preview area as well as on the compose page.

In the Yahoo! Personals Mailbox, we have put an abuse-prevention mechanism in place called "Word Verification." This helps prevent spam-generating automated robots from creating profiles and sending emails. Word Verification also reduces system loads and ensures better performance of services. It is very easy to use this feature:

  1. At the bottom of the form, you will see a word that is somewhat distorted.
  2. Type that exact same word into the box provided above it. It is not necessary to match uppercase or lowercase letters.
  3. Click the "Send" button to send your message. That's it!

If no image appears, make sure your browser is set to display images and try again. If you are not sure what the word is, make your best guess. If you guess incorrectly, you will have an opportunity to enter a different word on the next screen.

Remember, when you click the "Send" button, your message is fed into our delivery system and can't be retrieved. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to intervene in this process. When a message arrives in your Yahoo! Personals Mailbox, it is yours. Likewise, messages that arrive in others' mailboxes belong to them and can't be removed by us.

In the future, if you are not entirely certain that you want to send a message, consider saving it as a draft. Clicking the "Save Draft" button will save the message without sending it, so that you can return to it later to make final decisions.

If you would like to save a portion of your message so that you can reuse it later in other messages, copy the portion you'd like to save and then click the "Save Text to My Snippets" link and follow the instructions shown in the pop-up window.
