During the profile creation process, in the Personals Mailbox, and on our Email to a Friend feature, we have put an abuse-prevention mechanism in place called "Word Verification." This feature helps prevent spam-generating automated robots from creating profiles and sending emails. Word Verification also reduces system loads and ensures better performance of Yahoo! services.

It is very easy to use this feature:

  1. At the bottom of the form is a word that is somewhat distorted.
  2. Type that exact same word into the box provided above it. It is not necessary to match uppercase or lowercase letters.
  3. Click the "Send" button to send your message. That's it!

If no image appears, please make sure your browser is set to display images and try again. If you are not sure what the word is, make your best guess. If you guess incorrectly, you can enter a different word on the next screen.
