You can search for matches by author, in the case of text news, or by photographer, for news photos, using the syntax below. Please note that you'll need to choose "News Stories" or "News Photos" under the pull-down Search Type menu to define the type of search you want to effect. Then, in the actual search:

• Put "author:" before a name to search for stories or photos by a particular reporter or photographer.
  Example: author:Smith
• Use curly braces to search on both first and last name.
  Example: author:{John Smith}
