The process is pretty simple. When we receive the email, we first investigate the complaint by looking at the message that the user sent to you. if you have already deleted it, then we can not see that message.
The next step is to look at all the messages the user has sent. If there are no other messages and your message is gone as well, then we have no way to help you block this user. If you do not want to keep the message on your profile, you can always include the message from the user in the email you send us.
However, if we do find many messages where the user appears to be mass-messaging self-promotional messages, we warn the user to stop spamming our users. If he/she does not stop, then we ban the user from the site.
Fraud-related messages, Nigerian spam, porn spam or get-rich-quick scam messages are deleted immediately and the user is blocked from sending any more messages.
