For problems transferring Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscription tracks to portable devices and/or messages such as:

"device transfer license not found"

"No License to Play, Sync License With PC"

"Yahoo Music Unlimited subscription tracks cannot be transferred to your portable device because the device or device firmware is not subscription-music compatible"

This may be an issue with a recent Microsoft hotfix. To resolve, you’ll need to remove the existing hotfix and reinstall. Here’s how:

  1. On your PC, please go to: Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (make sure to select "Show Updates") > Windows XP – Software Updates
  2. Find ‘Hotfix for Windows Media Format 11 SDK (KB929399)’
  3. Select and click ‘Remove’
  4. Reboot the computer
  5. Now, replace the hotfix you removed. Click or paste the URL below and follow the instructions for installing it. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929399
Once completed, this should resolve the issue.
