You can share music through the Yahoo! Music Jukebox with many other members, friends and music lovers. Here are some ways you can share music with others.

Your Yahoo! Music Jukebox community is comprised of Similar Members, Messenger Music Friends, and Influencers and Followers.

Similar Members

Similar Members are members who have music tastes similar to yours, based on music you and they have rated. You'll see links to Members with Similar Music Tastes in the Music Community area on My Music Profile. You can connect with these members through Messenger Music and add them as Influencers.

Find members with music tastes similar to yours:

1. From the homepage, click your username at the top left.
2. On My Music Profile, under Community, click Members with Similar Music Tastes.
3. Click any user ID to see what that member listens to, and to find out who influences them.
4. From that member's page, you can add them as an Influencer or invite them to join as a Messenger Music friend.
5. Clicking View All from another member's profile page shows you all that member's music ratings.

Messenger Music Friends

Your Messenger Music friends are Yahoo! Messenger friends who have the Yahoo! Music Jukebox and are currently running it. You can see what music they are listening to, listen to their music, or they can listen to yours (you must be a Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscriber to hear full songs. If not, you can share :30 music samples.) You need to invite Yahoo! Messenger friends to join your Yahoo! Music Jukebox community in order to share your music with them or add them as Influencers. Note that Messenger Music does not enable or permit users to copy or transfer music files to other members, but it does allow users to listen to their friends' music through streaming.

Invite Yahoo! Messenger friends to run the Yahoo! Music Jukebox:

1. Click Messenger Music in the left navigation pane.
2. Here you should see all your Messenger Music friends (if not, you'll be shown why). Click the Invite ... button next to the Yahoo! ID of the friend you want to invite to run the Yahoo! Music Jukebox.
3. Your friend must first have Yahoo! Messenger in order for you to invite them to run the Yahoo! Music Jukebox. If they don't have Yahoo! Messenger yet, click Add a friend to Messenger.
4. If your friend already has the Yahoo! Music Jukebox, click View Music next to their ID or double-click their ID in the center pane to see their music collection, their playlists, and their profile.

Influencers

Influencers are members whose music tastes you like, and automatically improve your recommendations. When you choose Influencers, songs they rate highly are more likely to play on your Yahoo! LAUNCHcastt Radio station and appear in My Recommendations. Your own ratings take precedence over an Influencer's, and Influencer preferences only affect the songs you have not yet rated. Influencers are a great way to discover new music through other listeners with similar tastes.

You can add a member as an Influencer any time you see the Add as Influencer button or link. Note that you must be a subscriber to Yahoo! LAUNCHcast Plus or Yahoo! Music Unlimited to use Influencers.

Followers

Followers are other listeners who look to you for new music recommendations. By following your tastes, they automatically receive music based on your music choices.

You can view and edit your Influencers and Followers from My Music Profile.
