SmartSplit

SmartSplit is a premium feature available with Yahoo! Music Jukebox Plus. SmartSplit organizes tracks in large playlists across as many CDs as necessary to burn all the songs to CD.
Using SmartSplit to Burn Tracks to Multiple CDs
If you select more tracks than will fit on one CD, Yahoo! Music Jukebox will display the SmartSplit button, which lets you automatically burn your playlist to multiple CDs. If you do not have Yahoo! Music Jukebox Plus, you will be given the opportunity to upgrade if you click the SmartSplit button. If you prefer not to upgrade, you can simply remove tracks until the playlist fits on one CD then the standard Burn CD button will become active.
How to use SmartSplit:
- Create a playlist to burn to CD (i.e., drag albums or tracks to Now Playing and click the Burn icon at the top) and insert your blank CD
- The tracks staged for burning will appear in the center pane along with the Burn CD window at the top. You will see any status messaging in the top right regarding problems with tracks (i.e., some not burnable because of
streaming, etc.)
- If the Yahoo! Music Jukebox detects there are more tracks in your playlist than there is space on the CD, you will see the SmartSplit button instead of the Print Label button. SmartSplit is a feature of Yahoo! Music Jukebox Plus.
- If you do not have Plus, clicking SmartSplit will spawn a dialogue box asking if you would like to upgrade.
- Click Yes if you wish this option. Once you complete the purchase process, return to the Burn CD window and follow the instructions below
- If you do not want Plus, you must manually reduce the number of tracks in your playlist by unchecking songs. Once the size of the playlist will fit on the CD, the standard Burn CD button will become active.
- If you have Plus, simply click the SmartSplit button. The Yahoo! Music Jukebox will automatically break the playlist up into individual Volumes.
- Click the Burn CD button to burn the first Volume. When finished, the CD will eject, the burned Volume will appear green in the left pane and the next Volume will be highlighted.
- Click Burn CD to burn the next Volume. Continue in this way until all Volumes are completed.
- Note that the Volumes will remain in the left pane throughout your session using the Yahoo! Music Jukebox, but they will not persist once you exit your session, i.e., they won’t appear the next time you start the Jukebox.
