Compatible Portable Devices

The Yahoo! Music Jukebox lets you take your music to go by transferring to many portable devices; however, depending on the service you want, you must have the correct device.

If you want to put Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscription music on portable devices, you must have Yahoo! Music Unlimited To Go and a subscription-compatible portable device. Read more about this below.

iPod: The Yahoo! Music Jukebox is not compatible with iPod.

If you're buying a new device, check the list below first to be sure it's compatible with your Music service. If you already have a device, check the list below to see if it's compatible.

There are three types of portable devices compatible with the Yahoo! Music Jukebox. Please read the details of each type to see which device you need. In some cases, there are special instructions or updates that may be critical to using a device with the Yahoo! Music Jukebox; if so, click the device name to see specific information about that device:

  1. Subscription-music compatible (for use with the Yahoo! Music Unlimited To Go subscription music service) and other file types
  2. Windows Media Digital Rights Management (DRM)-compatible (for use with Yahoo! Music Unlimited burnable downloads) and other file types
  3. Devices to play music you imported from CDs or other sources outside Yahoo! Music Unlimited.
