Important Notice
The Yahoo! Music Unlimited services have closed. The Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscription service and the Music Store for purchased downloads are no longer available and will not re-open. Many features within the Yahoo! Music Jukebox are no longer available, including the ability to download subscription music and purchase downloads.
The
Download Manager is a tool accessed from the left navigation pane that provides you with information about music files downloaded to the Yahoo! Music Jukebox. This includes burnable downloads you purchase individually, and subscription music which is downloaded to your machine.
Burnable Downloads
When you purchase a burnable download, the file is sent to your computer. The progress and record of the download are shown in the
Download Manager. As your burnable download is sent, you may click
Download Manager in the left pane and monitor the download progress; or, once the download is successfully completed, you may click
Download Manager, then use the pulldown menu to select "Browse Completed" to see the record of the download. If any problems occurred with download, you will see a status message. In general, if there is a problem with the transmission of a burnable download, and you have to shut down the Yahoo! Music Jukebox, the system is designed to complete the download once you start up the Jukebox again. If your purchased, burnable download does not arrive sucessfully, check the
Download Manager for any status messaging, and contact Customer Care.
We suggest you back up burnable downloads to an audio CD in case of technical problems with your computer. Yahoo! Music Unlimited cannot replace burnable downloads if they are lost or destroyed. However, subscription downloads can always be re-downloaded as long as your subscription is active.
Subscription Downloads
The
Download Manager also tracks progress of subscription music downloaded to your computer if you have retained the default Yahoo! Music Unlimited preference setting to download instead of stream subscription music. In this case, when you add music to your collection, especially a large number of tracks or albums, you may want to select "Browse Active" from the pulldown menu in the
Download Manager to watch the progress of the large number of tracks. You can see all the tracks queued up to download, and the progress of each.
If you adjust your Yahoo! Music Unlimited preference to
stream or bookmark subscription music instead of downloading it, you will not see a record of the added streams in the
Download Manager.
If you cancel a download while it is downloading, a record of the download will not be kept in the
Download Manager.
View Payment History
You can also click
View Payment History from the
Download Manager to see a record of payments you made for burnable downloads and for your music subscription.
