Two ways to do this:

• While you’re sending instant messages with the contact, click View More History in the upper part of the conversation window.
• Or, move your pointer over the contact in the Messenger List, click on the down-arrow, and select View Message History.

A listing of messages that match your search term(s) appears. Click on a line to preview the message below the search results.
