Sorry, no, only one version of Yahoo! Messenger works at a time.

If you try signing-in to Yahoo! Messenger for the Web while you're running the desktop "client" version installed on your computer, you'll get an option to click either:

• Cancel (if you don't want to sign out of the desktop version), or
• OK (if you really do want to sign out of the desktop Messenger, and into the Web version).
