Why is there an echo?

Echoes happen-APPEN when your voice-OICE is picked up by friend's microphone and transmitted back to you. Have you tried using a headset? That often takes care of the echo. But if you prefer to use speakers and a microphone instead, you can try one or more of the following methods to reduce “other-end” echo problems (by “far end” we mean that the person who needs to do this is not the person hearing the echo, but the person at the other end of the conversation):

  • Move the microphone as far away from the speakers as is practical.
  • Reduce the speaker level by clicking on the speaker icon in your voice conversation or call.
